A Vision Brought to Life
How Jessica's dream of Monet-inspired pet portraits became a treasured memorial to her three beloved dogs

"This is really making a dream come true for my home."
— Jessica
The Vision
When Jessica first reached out, she had a specific artistic vision: three individual portraits of her dogs—Karli, Cruz, and Nash—with backgrounds that would perfectly complement her Monet print, "Path in the Wheat Fields at Pourville."
The goal wasn't just to create pet portraits. It was to create artwork that would harmonize with her sitting room design, featuring the same abstract coloring of blues, greens, and burnt orange that made the Monet piece so captivating.
"I have a vision to have individual custom portraits done of my three dogs with a background coloring that compliments the Monet print I have hung in a sitting room I have been designing."
— Jessica

The Challenge: Honoring Karli
Cruz and Nash had beautiful professional photos to work from. But Karli was different. She had passed away in 2010, and the only photos available were amateur snapshots from 15 years ago.
More than that, Karli had a unique appearance. Her head shape wasn't typical for a Lab—Jessica jokingly called it her "bicycle seat head." Capturing this distinctive feature was essential to making the portrait truly feel like Karli.
This wasn't just about creating art. It was about preserving a memory, about giving Jessica a way to see her beloved companion again.
"We jokingly would say she had a bicycle seat head because it wasn't the typical shape lab head. Had a little more curves on the top."

The Vision Shared
Jessica reached out with a unique request: create portraits of her three dogs with backgrounds that complement her Monet print.
"I have a vision to have individual custom portraits done of my three dogs with a background coloring that compliments the Monet print I have hung."
First Pass Delivered
Within days, the first portraits were ready. Cruz and Nash looked perfect. But Karli needed special attention.
"You brought a tear to my eye this morning. This is exactly what I was hoping!!"
Perfecting Karli's Unique Features
With only amateur photos from 15 years ago, capturing Karli's distinctive personality required multiple iterations and careful attention to her unique features.
"We jokingly would say she had a bicycle seat head because it wasn't the typical shape lab head."
The Final Masterpieces
After collaborative refinement, all three portraits captured each dog's essence perfectly, with the Monet-inspired backgrounds Jessica envisioned.
You brought a tear to my eye this morning. This is exactly what I was hoping!!

That is amazing and made me tear up seeing this!! We lost her in 2010 so that gave a moment to see her again. How cool!

Another Loss, Another Treasure
During the course of this project, Jessica's family faced another heartbreak. Nash passed away at 15 years old. What had started as a beautiful home décor project became something even more meaningful—a memorial to two beloved companions.
The portraits, now hanging on her wall, serve as daily reminders of the love and joy these three "fur kids" brought to the family.
"This picture has him front and center and we are so grateful for all three photos bringing us such memory and joy of our fur kids."
